Big Art fraud
I am dedicating this blog primarily watches and watch paraphernalia and history. However, every once in a while, I will drop some messages on art and what is going on with art around the world. Recently, there has been a big art fraud, it is documented in this article and should be of interest to art collectors:
million dollar art fraud in the US

New "photoshopped" Submariner
This would be an awesome Sub if it ever were produced, but I guess it will just stay a photoshopped picture...

THE Submariner from Rolex - The James Bond watch
The Submariner 5513 is THE Rolex dive watch. It is cult. It is history. It is James Bond who wore the watch in his movies.
There are many distinction of this watch based on the dial configuration. One of them is the maxi dial in the later 70s. The link explains this further:

watch collecting
Worldwide, the number of watch collectors is growing fast, as the internet is giving access to a wealth of information and watches that never before was available, only to a small elite of jewelers. Now all of us can trade, collect and exchange information on watches. This is an amazing time. I am putting this blog together to summarize the best links on watches that are out there in the world wide web of chaos. This is my try to bring structure to the chaos. I hope that over time my blog will become more valuable to all the collectors out there and that my visitors will enjoy my posts. Last but not least, my blog will be partially multilingual, but the pictures should still be enjoyable. However, my links will be in English, French and German. And sometimes maybe even in a language that I do not understand. Let's wear our watches in good health.

IWC watch ads collection
This is a very nice collection of ads for IWC watches. The site is in German, but it still is nice to see. The ads were only created for the German speaking market and later pulled as they could culturally not be presented on an international base. And interesting piece of history.
IWC ads
This is a site on IWC with one of the most comprehensive IWC picture collections, a real source of knowledge. Also in German, but great site:
